When and How to Bring in Support

Testing and support run alongside the practices. Start your path, and book the conversation alongside it if your symptoms are loud.

Bring someone in now

If you're having thoughts of self-harm, or hopelessness is deepening, talk to a therapist or doctor now. In the US, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Reaching out is the strongest move you can make. And any physical symptom that's acute or frightening belongs with a doctor, with nothing here suggested in its place.

Bring someone in alongside

Keep the practices and add a professional when: physical symptoms are loud and persistent (the entrenched 3am pattern, the metabolism that stopped responding, gut issues nobody can explain); you've been consistent for six or more weeks and nothing has shifted; the patterns predate this stressful season; or sleep is too broken for daytime practices to gain traction.

This guide is educational. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or replace medical or psychological care.
